41 with lack of interest in sex?

Question:
I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years. At the beginning, we were having sex several times a day. I've always been overweight, but about 18 months ago I lost my job and started eating.I put on over 100 lbs. At that point our sex life died. 6 months ago I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and went on a diet and started walking an hour every day.I've lost everything I gained and then some. I feel pretty good, but for some reason my sex drive isn't anywhere near what it was. We're lucky if we have it once a week. It's not my girlfriend's fault.she has never stopped wanting sex. When I was bigger, I asked her to be patient with me, thinking my desire to have sex would increase as my weight decreased. She's upset with me because she thinks that I don't want her anymore and I find myself making excuses. I'm thinking it could be my diet (under 1000 cal a day, except Saturday I eat whatever I want), maybe I'm not getting the vitamins I need. I just don't know.

Answers:
Once a week is low for your age if she wants sex. I would suggest going to the doctor, Those little blue pills might help.

Other Answers:
you need to change your girlfriend.

try a guy.
Shoot.once a week? Some of us don't get it once a MONTH.

Maybe your testosterone levels are low, that's directly related to sex drive.
Why not take a trip to a health food store (or even Walmart) and get yourself some of those vitamins you are lacking? I've even noticed that some supplements say that they help the sex drive. It will probably take a couple of weeks for the supplements to take effect - but you'll be on the road to recovery.

If this doesn't help - being only 41 - I would call a doctor or pharmacist, and see what is recommended. It probably is just a vitamin deficiency - but better to make sure. Good luck.
consider this, you are also 41 not 21 our sex drives go down as we get older. they do have remedies for this, viagra, levitra, cialis.you can also go to the doctor if it's physical or a psychiatrist if it's mental.. i just turned 40, so i know where you are coming from. hope this helped.
There are many reasons for low sex drive. Your below 1000 calorie diet - even for 6 days - could be the cause. However, I think it has more to do with your weight gain then loss. It could be your blood chemistry re-balancing after the weight loss. Could be low cholestrol or potassium levels. Could be stress induced. Could be the weight gain induced the start of Type 11 Diabetes. There are too many possibilities. Go see a doctor if you are worried.

Maybe just taking the time to relax and play with each other will bring the old magic back to what it was.
You have been through a great deal of stress and the stress alone can be a damper to sexual arousal. Are you again working or still looking?. If you are feeling somewhat depressed & guilty because you are not working this too could kill sexual arousal and make you feel unworthy. Your calorie intake is low for a long time dietary guide. Find a maintainence diet that allows you have some fun in your meals, but will not pile on pounds. It sounds like you've lost a great deal of enjpyment on several levels and this can become a circle of circumstance if you do not work to break the cycle. Professional counseling/someone not close that can allow you to vent feelings may help you manage life and open the door for enjoyment once again.
easy peasy.

answer is either.
1. do some weights,
go to the gym do your walk or whatever then do a set or 2 of bench presses, 8 reps at a good heavy weight.

:Increases testosterone dramatically. Agression and desire also.
Not to mention more muscles.

2. Take a supplement.
I can provide you with a small natural supplement stack, great for this problem, or boosting performance.

A couple of testosterone boosting supplements completly natural that really boost the s.drive.

3. Or hit the old viagra.

Un natural, irregular, not recommended, but will work.

And thats it problem solved. Enjoy the rest of your life.
During the time you were very overweight you might have developed diabetes, which would dampen your sex life considerably, even after losing weight. So you need to get checked out by the doctor. There are a multitude of conditions that can cause your sex drive to drop, including low testosterone levels (from various diseases, as well as chronic alcohol consumption), a prolactin secreting pituitary tumor, tumors that secrete CRH or cortisol (e.g., Cushings disease), peripheral neuropathy, excess estrogen, low vitamin B12 or B6 levels, insufficient fat intake (causing cholesterol, the precursor of all steroid hormones, to be in short supply), low HGH levels, and on and on.

An unexplained loss of sex drive or ED problems can be indiciative of a significant underlying disease condition, so you should treat it as a medical concern and see a urologist that specilizes in sexual issues as soon as possible.
