My husband has hypospadias why does it seem as though when he is not sick he dwells on being sick?

Question: He has had alot of surgery to repair the hypospadias now he has to set down to urinate. I am getting so frustrated our sex life is not what it used to be well we never have sex anymore. all he wants to do is talk about his penis and another surgery and if he is not sick he tells me he is getting a urinary tract infection and half the time i dont think he has one. What gets to me is since the last surgery he has been so much better health wise and now he acts like he wants to be sick like he misses the attention. I told him maybe he should schedule another surgery so he could be happy. I dont know what to do.. I miss our marriage the way it was. we also were able to have a beutiful son.

It sounds to me like enjoys the attention he recieves when he is sick, so he tries to act sick just to get the attention back.
