I think its not exactly hard work, it seems to release a lot of tension energy--you are kinda intensely focused leading up to the release, mentally and physically. I wish women would accept men as they are, at least the stuff thats not obnoxious, and being tired, relaxed, sleepy whatever after sex is not a horrible thing, is it? Its a beautiful state of bliss so why not just let the guy enjoy it.
