What are the best vitamin supplements to help keep a mans skin looking healthy and spot free?

Vitamin A can help; it's an anti-oxidant, so it allows the immune system to destroy infection by using oxygen 'free radicals'. The anti-oxidant protects the 'good' cells from oxidation.

Vitamin A (Retinol) is fat-soluble, so it's stored in fatty tissue (including the skin). It can build up in the liver and cause poisoning, but it's only really dangerous in pregnancy (toxic levels for adults are very difficult to achieve), to the unborn baby. Because of the toxicity, it's fallen ot of fashion. Beta-carotene combines in the body to form Retinol, but it isn't stored, so the fatty sebum on the skin will be short of Vitamin A if he ONLY gets it from beta-carotene.

If he's very active, his need for both vitamins will be increased, so a shortage is quite common.
Doesn't work that way! You can't just take pills to look good. Eat properly, sleep properly, exercise outdoors, get a significant other to take your mind off yourself.
just eat loads of fruit and veg and drink the right amount of water no need for supplements then.
