i have a hernia?

Question:
I went to the urologist today becasue in thep ast ocuple months my left testracle would swell up. He checked me nad siad thiers fluid leaking inot your sack area form a small pinhole opening. And he siad it oculd be fixed easily with a 1 day surgery procedure where u closes the hole. Ive only got the pain liek 4 times in a period of a year. I wont be able to do any sports for 3 weeks, and football is ocming up and everyone including me will be very upset knowing i cant play. Is surgery worth it? Has anynoe has this? Does it hurt? and what are the risks involved?

Answers:
"Not necessarily dangerous in themselves, inguinal hernias can lead to life-threatening complications. For that reason, your doctor is likely to recommend surgical repair of a hernia that's painful or growing larger. The good news is that it's not the same hernia operation your father may have had, with a large abdominal incision, a long hospital stay and weeks of immobility. Instead, many inguinal hernias now can be successfully repaired with a technique that uses several small incisions, leading to a faster, less painful recovery."

My 10 year old brother got surgery for a hernia ... seriously you should go through with the surgery otherwise it could possibly get worse its better to sit out three weeks than to have something go wrong where you could never play again.... At first after the surgery it will be sore but it shouldnt hurt horribly bad.
Good luck with everything and choose what you think is best for you ok
