I'm only 24 year old and I'm not overweight, but I have really short breath?

Question:
What do I do to increase my stamina? I run/swim 3 times a week 30 mins each. Yesterday I play soccer and I could barely move my legs at the end of the game.

Answers:
Let's back up a minute.
You went to your doctor, right?
Is he/she a general practitioner or a specialist in respiratory issues?
I suspect he/she probably did a basic chest x-ray, along with the generic blood pressure/pulse check and sent you on your way.

Look - get your doctor to refer you to a pulmonologist, or at least go to an allergist.
It sounds as if there is some lung obstruction going on.
It could be an early sign of asthma or worse (COPD - chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder).
Or, it could be some seasonal allergen that affects your breathing.

Either way - go to a specialist...it sounds as if your muscles are NOT getting enough oxygen.

Good luck & good health!

Other Answers:
It may be a health issue, go talk about it with your doctor.
Working out 3 times per week for 30 mins each is barely enough to keep you where you are. If you want stamina, you really need to increase both the number of days and the amount of time you work out. You also have to work hard at it so you actually get your heart and lungs to exert themselves.
It could be allergies as well. I would ask a doctor. Allergies can lead to asthma eventually.
Well, it may be a health issue or you could be working yourself too hard!
