Help with my weight?

Question:
Im a 16 yr old male. I am 5'9 and weight 160 and am interested in trying to lose weight. I've been told im skinny but after research found out my ideal slim weight is 130, I want to reach this come summers end and would be much obliged to any help that can be given. I know the basics of water, water, water and even more protein, cutting the fats, but what more can I do?

Answers:
What is your problem? You are perfectly healthy! Why do you want to become skinny? So you can feel the excruciating pain of sitting down and having the chair hit you really hard on your bony butt? So your shoulder blades stick out in an ugly way? So brats can call you anorexic? So you can feel the pain of your skin stratching over your ribcage? Sounds fun doesn't it?

Stick with your weight. Not too skinny. DEFINITELY not overweight in the slightest.

Other Answers:
i think you sound like you are on target. i dont believe in the whole "weight" scenario. i think it should be how you look. there is not much difference between 130 and 160lbs. i think if you were 130 you would look pretty lanky or maybe like a wet noodle. not that attractive, huh. if you think you look good now i wouldnt try and lose weight. and if you do want to lose weight, burning more calories than you consume will bring the weight off
Exercise is always the best, most effective and quickest way.
You can start running, and you cut down on what you eat, also cut down in soda.

But your weight is fine, 130 for 5.9 is too skinny.
