Why do we have lower energy levels as we age ?

Question:
Im interested in the "why", is it chemical reasons , like lack of nutrients, maybe part phycological, or what. I know there are many vitamins and supplements, even excersice, (if you have the strength to do them), that can help, but I sure would like to understnad the changes in our bodies that make us feel that way.

Answers:
For the first twenty years of your life you body makes more growth hormone. Growth hormone is a real energy boost (why it's illegal in sports)

After that many people stop exercising because of work, children or laziness. Your body is no longer building muscle in fact it is using muscle tissue to live because it sees it as unneccesary.

Now with less muscle it takes more work to lift your body parts... that's why you have less energy, everything is harder.

You can fix it by getting more exercise.

Other Answers:
your body becomes physiclly slower and starts to tire and this will increase with age but good excise and diet will help slow procces of body wearing out this and help maintian your body longer and the heathly you the higher your energy levels
