Why can I feel my blood vessels pumping?

Question:
Every once in a while, I'll get blood vessels, or arteries (I'm not of the correct terminology) pumping in various parts of my body where I can feel it, and my skin actually moves. It'll happen on the outside of my palm, or on my arm, over my eye, or most often in my upper thigh.

Why does it do this? Is this normal?

By the way, I'm a 23 year old healthy male.

Answers:
Most likely hypertension like high blood pressure. Check with a Doctor. I have the same issue. I'm 27 and healthy but high BP which is hereditary in my family.
It's probably because your heart is pumping hard to get all the blood where it supposed to go. It doesn't mean you're healthy or not healthy.just ALIVE! It's a good thing
are you refering to pulses ?

If you are refering to pulses it is normal to feel your pulses sometimes. In skinny ppl since they dont have much peripheral fat, you tend to see them pulsating through the skin.

I am not sure if i understand ya question actually but i tried.
It's called a pulse and they are in various points of your body.
