Why did I feel like I was spinning in circles and getting dizzy while laying in bed?

Question:
My doctor has me on FloVent HFA, Flutcasone Propionate, and Singulair for allergies and Lipitor for cholesterol. I have been on the last two over a month and the first two over a week. Today is first problem. I am 49 years old and in general good health.
No Jokes please.

I don't think the medicine is actually related to your current symptoms. It sounds like you are experiencing the symptoms of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, shortened to BPPV. BPPV means a benign condition, i.e.-not some big, bad awful thing (not a tumor or annyerism), paroxysmal means episodic - i.e.- symptoms and condition can come and go, positional meaning depending on head position (if you turn quickly, roll over, lay down or sit up, look up or stoop are most common symptom producers), and vertigo is the room spinning sensation. BPPV involves small crystals breaking off the utricle in the inner ear and the crystals end up in the semi-circular canals in the inner ear. This creates an imbalance between the sensory inputs from the inner ear. Treatment is actually pretty simple and involves what is called canalith repositioning. This can be accomplished at some physician offices or by a physical therapist which specializes in treatment of vestibular disorders. Sorry, this is hard to explain without diagrams. A great website which explains this better is www.tchain.com look at BPPV. good luck. It goes away faster if it is treated.

How's your Blood Pressure? I know that happens when my Blood presssure is up.
If you have been taking the medicine that long, it probably isn't a side affect, but never count that out of course. A lot of times dizziness can come from a problem in the ear, which controls our balance. Had any ear aches lately? Mabey you could start by getting that checked.
Have you check-VERTIGO
do you know that some med dont coinside with oneanother call the people who filled your script and ask the phar he knows more about that stuff than your own doc . and if you are taking cold meds with some of your meds thats no good either. you better check this out before to long its pretty important to your health and i think doc over medicate anyway.
