I have some weights at home and want to just build the muscles in my arms and chest, what is the best routine to do? I was once told to do weights every other day as it give the muscles time to repair themselves.is this true? I am not looking for a miracle fix but would like to know what is the best thing to do in the long run!

Answers:
To build, you will need to lift heavy. I normally start with a warm up of 15 reps and pyramid down to 8 reps on the heaviest i can lift. This will rip the muscle, not literally but its that pain you feel the next day. You muscle will grow back stronger with rest so make sure you take in lots of protein. A good month of training should give noticible results.

Intense exercise is only of benefit if accompanied by sufficient rest/recovery periods and good nutrition. So if you are working out in order to build muscle, every other day will actually produce better results than every day. Also get plenty of sleep and eat well.

you could always try all weights to see Wat's the heaviest one you could lift and use that one for 30 days and eat things with protein not candy maybe 3 pieces a month to have mussels
