Is it true that you have to lift weights every other day in order to maximize muscle mass gain?

Question:
I was wondering since i heard you need to give your muscles time to repair and at the same time take supplements

Answers:
Muscle building supplements, like at GNC, will shorten the refraction time between lifts. But it's still a good idea to alternate target areas each day. that way you can work out every day, but different body parts will get the reps

Other Answers:
REST is the most important part of weight lifting and well any exercise program. You should also be doing cardio as well. There are five components of fitness you should do all of them to maintain a balanced body. Yes you should give your muscles 48hours between lifting!
Yes. Optimal weight-lifting actually tears your muscle tissues, and they need time to recover and rebuild. You should not think of your growing muscles as scar tissue, but to some extent that can be a useful comparison. Depending on your age, how much training you have done, for how long you have been at it, and what your goals are, you might need to wait three days between lifts. In that case you should work different muscle groups twice a week (like M-Th, T-F, W-Sat).
