a double contrast barium enema were suboptimal what does this mean?

Question:

Answers:
Are you reading the results of a barium enema?
I think this means that the tests didn't tell the doctor anything. Or that the tests were not proformed correctly to provide good results.
I am an xray tech and have done hundreds if not thousands of these. (there's something to brag about huh?!?!) What that means is that the images the techs obtained were not good. The radiologist came in and took some pictures but then it is left up to the technologists to take additional pictures in various positions. The anatomy they wanted to see could have been left off the film, the images could be too dark or too light, or they might not have been able to complete the exam. You should have an appointment with your doctor soon, I would see if he could get copies of the films (actually you can all you have to do is call the facility/department where it was done and request them). Maybe he can look over them and tell you why they are suboptimal.
