Well, my friend, most of the males and females are worried abt abs. First of all let me clear you one thing there no such lower ab and upper abs. Most of the GYM coaches use so since they are not qualified in this.

Rectus abdominus is a single muscle which u see as your stomack. Whether you do the work out from top or bottom the effect is same as the muscle work as a single one.

As I have written several times in this forum, there is no single work out to reduce the stomach. You have to treat the fat content in the stomach as a whole body fat percentage. So you have to do a whole body work out as there is no spot reduction work out.
