My best friend is allergic to cats and we meet elsewhere and I make sure that I've brushed all the cat hair off my personage. If we do need to meet at my place I make sure I vaccuum and dust before he arrives and lock the cats up in the bedroom so they won't get near him.
He makes sure he takes anti-histamine and allergy meds.
We both give a bit and it works just fine.

have your friend start getting allergy shots it wont be a total cure but it helps. Get rid of your cat. People are important. Animals are not. If you don't have that straight then people should probably avoid you for relationships and leave you in the company of your cats.
