Will moderate alcohol consumption lead to cancer or other health problems?

Question:
Far from alcoholism... I'm saying, will drinking a few beers or taking a couple shots every weekend (weekend only) affect me in the long run?

Answers:
That depends on what you mean by a couple. A glass of wine is great for health; but a large glass of wine is not. One or two shots is fine but more than that isn't. Same with beer. Stick with one shot and live long and happy.

Other Answers:
A few beers will lead to a beer belly. A few shots will lead to acting stupid. The only real health problems moderate drinking can cause would be due to other factors like drunk driving, walking into a wall, etc. Liver problems would be unlikely unless you have a weak liver due to other problems or are a heavy drinker.
that shouldn't really affect you too much. They say that a beer or 2 a day is actually healthy in some ways, but once you step over the line to binge drinking is where you'll have problems. I'd stay away from the shots, as I'm not too sure about those...but a couple beers here and there isn't bad for you really. Just don't drive.
Not really but you can always do a little research on Fatty Liver disease on the internet. If you see a doctor take a blood test they can always tell you the level of your triglicerides (that may not be spelled right) which will let you know without a doubt if you are drinking too much
within 25 years, you'll get cirrhosis, when the liver hardens and probably other liver problems
