Swollen Seminal Vessel??

Question: My husband had a physical today & the Dr said he had a swollen seminal vessel & that he should get an ultrasound to see whats causing it. Should I be concerned? I wasn't at the appt & my husband didn't ask any questions. The ultrasound isn't for another week.

your husband most likely has a condition called "Epididymitis". its a swelling of the tube that the sperm travels through. it can become enlarged from an injury,stress or std's..depending on the age of the individual..most likely the cause is from an infection such as a UTI or prostate problems..warm baths or hot tub will ease the pain and believe it or not clearing out the tub helps the pain and swelling..your choice on how to do that :-)

it might have something to do with the prostate, probably just a iratation in that area that can be easily fixed with medication. i would not worry, if it was that urgent, i dont think they would wait a week for the ultrasound.
