I am having dry coughing for last one month or so. I am veg,teetotler and non-smoker. Why it is so ?

Age 66,male normal health,weight 66kg ,height 165cms,no spicy food and dibates-fasting 122 to 145 and after food 165 to 185. Regular morning walk. When I cough it happens on account of some irritation in throt or upper part of Right Lung. The pitch of voice becomes weak. Not happens in night and also not when not eating. I do not remember having so before in life.

Answers:
Start with pre and post bronchodilator spirometry. You'll need a doctors order for that and an appointment with a pulmonary function lab. Your doc may want to do a chest x ray also.
