unless that person wants to go bald, he needs to learn how to stop that habit. Try to do something else during the usual times that person does the habbit of plucking his own head hair.

what an unusual habit.
I have a friend who does that when he is nervous or stressed and he doesn't relieze it and thinks he is balding in patches find out what triggers the hair plucking and then you may be able to find a solution
go to a store and find a book that could stop bad habits, flip through untill you find the right solution.
Pulling at your hair can be from a scalp condition like dry skin.or if they are nervous they are pulling it out. Try a medicated shampoo and see if that makes a difference. If not, talk to the person and hand them something to do like cutting something out of a magazine for you when you see them starting to pull hair again.maybe they are not conscious of what they are doing. Tell them they could cause an infection or have bald spots. if they continue to do it. Maybe that would shock them into stopping. Best of luck!
This is a mental disorder called Trichotilomania (sp?). It requires psychotherapy to help the person stop pulling their hair. It is complicated to explain but basically they start pulling their hair from their scalp and sometimes everywhere else as well. It can get quite bad. Get help for it now.
