answer this for ten points?

Question:
two bumps on the roof of my mouth?
Im just curious if anyone knows the purpose of the two bumps that you can feel with your tounge at the roof of your mouth just behind your teeth

Answers:
Well, the point that the BUMPS serve is just to be the meeting place of the soft and hard palate. The palates themselves serve purposes though. The soft palate is important in regards to your breathing and is important to singing as well. It rises when you yawn and creates more space in your mouth (which singers aim for to get a more resonant sound) and helps regulate air flow. Your hard palate probably serves to keep your teeth and jaw in place.

Other Answers:
I don't think it is a problem. I have them too.
just part of your soft palate, like you have two bumps growing out the side of your head :-)
You have two palates in your mouth, a hard one and a soft one. The bumps that you are referring to is the place where these two palates meet! They do not really serve a purpose.
Actually, I don't have two bumps. Have they always been there?
Have you asked someone else about these bumps? Do they hurt at all? I wish I could help you. You may check out a dental atlas at the library and check in that. Otherwise, I personally am unable to help you. Sorry.
Yes, i feel . it is look like bad place , it is not flat completely, but nice to get 10 point. i think they are for teeth , that they are big and front of out mouth maybe.
Just part of your palate probably. If they cause pain or any other complications, consult a professional.
That is just part of your palate. You have several things like that on your body, that to my knowledge serve no purpose. Take your uvula(the hangy thing in your throat) I dont think it really has a purpose, but its there.
maybe because when we get older we will all need dentures well most people..lol..
and with those bumps maybe they serve as suction areas to help hold dentures in place...
lol...dotn really know but pretty sure everyone has those...
It's just a thought!
hope that helps..
Those two bumps are called tonsils. Many are removed when the kid is young or when they are infected. Otherwise they just sit there and do nothing.
I dont think they serve purpose, just maybe the hard palate meeting the soft palate. everyone has em. no worries m8
its caus wen ur teeth grow out it lifted the skin
