i got my blood drawn today and after it was drawn i started feling very dizzy snd nautious.?

Question:
does anyone know why this happened and is this normal?

Answers:
This is quite normal and has also happened to me, though it doesn't always happen to everyone. Remember, usually when you donate blood you're suddenly losing a pint of that all-vital fluid. While that may not seem like a lot to you keep in mind that the average person only has a little more than 5 and a half liters of blood in their entire body. You feel dizzy as a result of this blood loss (which is why when most people bleed to death they pass out from blood loss before actually dying). Usually within 24 hours your body has replenished the blood cells lost, and usually within 20 minutes or so of donating your body has readjusted the flow of blood to important parts of the body so that you don't feel dizzy anymore.
it is normal which is why they ususaly give you a mars bar or orange juice and make you rest for 20 mins after in australia anyway
