My husband didn't want to circumcise my son,so we didn't,Is that unusual?
Question:
Answers:
Circumcision is mutilation. Why would you want to do such a thing? There is no medically justified reason for it.
Other Answers:
Yuk, now he's going to have an anteater his whole life.
Thats just mean to your child.
Not unusual. It's not usually necessary...
Well, I don't have a son, but this is what I've been told. Apparently if you don't circumise it can lead to problems, infections ect. However, I know that some people do not circumcise their children. It's a decision for both parents to make.
It's unusual to not be circumsized in the US. In Europe most aren't circumsized. I think circumsized looks MUCH better.
No...it's normal. I got mine that way and I have no problems
circumcision is not normal anyway
foreskin is not there by nature so a doc can cut it off.
besides he will have a better sex life now with a more sensitive penis that is lubricated and protected.
circumsized penises look ugly anyway.
It is superstition about the benefits of circumcision.
NO, just dont put him the bathtub with his brothers, cause they are going to call him bullet! LOLOL
No way! Your husband was right.
Very, very few people have problems with it. Most men want it back!
No apparantly many males nowadays do not get circumcised even though circumsision is a little healthier and cleaner. But there is no problem with being uncircumsised
Most males in the US do get circumsised but in most other continents they dont e.g Australia, Europe and Asia. The main reason for it was because of religious purposes since it was a Jewish tradition
I have heard that was on the increase lately. Personally I think it stupid not to do it.
Besides I think an uncircumcised penis is absolutely the uggliest thing! I much prefer the clean lines of a circumcised man.
No, it just means, your husband didnt want to cut a part of your sons dick off
Well, he will develop dick cheese now. Sort of looks like ricotta.
There are some health problems that could acure because of it. Infections are one of them because it would be harder to keep clean.
My son (almost three) is circumcised. I thought that was the norm...
Make sure you keep the turtleneck clean..
Ur kid is gonna hate u when he finally realizes what u did to him. HAHAHAHHAHA!!
At least you didn't circumcise your daughter!
50% of american men are uncircumsized most being catholic and latin american. Its normal get over it. Plus studies show circumcision decreases sexual pleasure. I like my woody with a hoody. so phht
It's just a preference now a days unless you are of the Jewish Faith. Circumcision used to be said to be cleaner and prevents the accumulation of certain infections and diseases but I have heard that an uncircumcised penis if properly maintained can be just as clean and infection free. On a personal level, Uncircumcised penises are rather unattractive.
ya that's mean and your kid will resent you later for it. I;ve known guys that get mad talking about the fact that their parents didn't do that for them when they were young it kinda leaves you out of the loop when your in high school. You should take him to have it done.
Most boys in the US are circumsized, but there are plenty who are not. I have no hard data, but my sense is that the trend toward avoiding circumcision has reached its peak and the numbers are starting to decline again. About 10 years ago, it was very fashionable not skip circumcision, but there have been more recent medical studies that suggest there are health benefits after all (particularly to the female sex partners of circumsized men, who seem to have a lower incidence of cervical cancer). So it was never a majority who avoided circumcision, and it is apparently declining, but it is still a considerable number.
i think it should only be performed for medical reasons myself.. your makin a decision, for your child that will last for the rest of his life, no turning back so, if its not for medical reasons, id wait till your sons old enough to choose for himself, at least he would be able to have a choice.then...
At this point, the medical community is pretty ambivalent
towards this issue. There is no credible repeatable evidence
that it increases the likelihood of diseases or infections - and
none that it reduces it either.
There have been some tests done with small data samples
(less than 1000 people) that have suggested that in the long
run there might be a SLIGHT advantage to circumcision, but
the sample sizes were not high enough to be credited by the
AMA as anything other than requesting more research.
There are lots of people who do not get circumcized, usually
for cultural reasons, sometimes just to avoid having a knife
near the family jewels.
Its not a big deal, either way.
If there is no medically compelling reason, I would leave it
up to the child to do when he is at the age of consent (18)
or earlier if he appears to be making his decision competently.
Normal is how GOD made him! Glad you left him that way, wish I would have left my son's normal! It's all bullshit about not being clean and stuff!
from the nurisng literature i have been reading lately, i am reading that more and more people are opting to NOT circumcise their children...that seems to be the way more people are thinking. you would be surprised that many people opt to keep their children uncircumcised. sure, it means more cleaning for the parents to make sure the young boy doesnt get infections. sure, it increases the chance of infection since the foreskin harbors bacteria. but i think there are also alot of pros too that parents are beginning to consider. there are no risks of surgical complications if leaving the child uncircimcised. later on in life, they will experience better sexual arousal. proponents of circumcision use the argument alot of how the young boy may be teased in the locker rooms in high school about having a non-circumcised penis, which could cause some mental anguish for the young boy that they are not 'like the rest of the boys.' but this can be alleviated by having vigilant parents who instill good self esteem in the boy at a young age and make him feel like he is just as good as anyone else, and not to let people get to him mentally about things like that. so anyways to answer the question, circumcision, while still the norm, is beginning to become less common...at least from what i see.
I find it really weird that he wouldn't consent to get your child circumcised. I can't speak for everyone but when my sister had her child 4 other boys were also circumcised and there was about 5 boys there not including my nephew. I would say it's pretty weird, but that'll be a problem for his wife, unless you're jewish.
Why did you want to? It's TOTALLY unnecessary, and is only done for religious reasons or worse for cosmetic purposes. Your daughter would look prettier with breast implants too. Would you do that because someone told you it's nicer looking?
You teach little girls to wash their vagina's, teach boys to pull back their foreskin.
Circumcision is simply cultural. There's no medical reason to circumcise boys. Jewish people do so for religious reasons, and the practice has been protected by law in the US.
Most of the time, the child feels at least part of the pain, which is unfortunate.
Sometimes the doctor cuts off too much foreskin, which later makes erections difficult.
The resulting wound can also become infected, which is dangerous in hospitals where resistant infections are prevalent.
In my personal opinion, circumcising male children is like having a dog's tail or ears cropped for show; I prefer to leave the child alone.
i didnt. our Sage is 7m old now. medically there is no reason. it puts a baby in pain and can have many complications. He was in the nicu when we had him for 2 weeks, and the dr there even said she agreed w us on not doing and there is no reason to.
You have to because in the end it is unfair to to him. It is unsanitary. When he reaches maturity he will bang and satisfy more fly females because it will add 2 inches to his package and it will unleash his true girth. I think parents should realize that someday the child will grow up and might decide to be a porn star and MILF and make videos and millions of dollars. He will thank you in the end. good luck to you
