I found blood in my stool, what is it?

I wiped the other day and found blood. Is this Hemmoroids or could it be something really serious. There was no pain in passing the bowels.

Go to the doctor. You could have just "tried" a little too hard. But if you are scared, it can't hurt to go and get a professional opinion.

If it is red, it likely is hemorrhoids as the bleeding is near the end of your tract.

(Black blood indicates bleeding futher up.)

I'd say it is important to see a doctor and make sure.

It could be that you were somewhat constipated. If your stool looked red then that means there could be a lower G.I. problem. If they are black and tar looking then it is a upper G. I problem. If it continues then I would see a medical profession to rule out any hemroid problems and such.
