How do you keep awake?

Question:
I'm doing something that requires "standing up for long periods" of time and have "few short breaks" in between. Other than coffee, pulling beard, and stay awake pills (got these online), what can I do to keep myself awake? Pls help. Thanks

Answers:
heehee... I found it hard to keep myself awake at first.
Tips:
1. chemicals.I use an energy drink, extra joss...if that's available in your country. im from the philippines.
2. yep, you're right, take lots of short breaks. make sure you breathe in lots of air
3. This is not a joke. It stretches the muscles and stimulates a nerve in that area so your drowsiness goes away:
Stretch your arms in front of you. Put your right arm over your left. clasp hands and rotate it towards you so the inside aspect of the right is exposed. Do it with the other arm.
4. Correct your posture. you feel sleepy when you lack oxygen. So sometimes leaning back on the chair, lying in bed, etc. restricts lung expansion. Reposition.
5. Jump to get your body moving. turn on some up-beat music if you want; and lastly,
6. Motivation is the key. Storing my goals at my subconscious gives an automatic protocol for my body to keep moving.

hope it helps!
You have to give your body a chance to adjust to your schedule. Try listening to music and doing a few squats every once in a while just to use different muscles.
