Can anybody help me get Nitrofuradantoi. 100 mg tablets or its substitutes? Not available in eastern India.?

I take SKF manufactured nitrofuradantine 100 mg every night, to keep my bladder bacteria free. I have a problem of reflux while urinating. Medicine Shops here say Nitrfurandantoin is no longer manufactured. Is there any other brand available? Or any substitute medication?

Answers:
Nitofuradantoin is a relatively safe urinary antiseptic.A lot of other antibiotics taken on a long- term basis would cause problems.
As an alternative,you could acidify your urine with ascorbic acid tablets,taken 3 times a day.This will help keep the bacteria load down to a minimum.
Also ask your doctor.
