I am a guy (19yrs old). I have a bump (nickel-quarter size) on my leg where the hip meets the leg. What is it?

Question:
Could this be cancer, hernia or just a gland of some sort. Please help I'm a little nervous about this.

Answers:
You need to see your doctor who is familiar with your medical history and who is trained, qualified, and licensed to give medical advice. People on this site are not! Good luck.

Chow!
It could be whats called a "hip pointer", an injury to the hip area just under the hip bones. If it is painful this could be it, if not I recommend checking with your doc. A cyst is a possiblity here.
could it be a bug bite? cos i have had pretty big bug bite before.
if it is swollen and painful you need to see your dr.
It could be many different things from a cyst or fatty deposit to something more serious. It is most-likely nothing. But if you are concerned, you should consult a physician so that you can be sure.
Along with some of the other suggestions, it could be an ingrown hair. If it is causing even a little pain, it wouldn't hurt to have it check by a Dr.
could be a lipoma - anyone can have them - look the definition up

see a dr for peace of mind
