I have a big poison ivy problem?

A few days ago i was hanging out with some friends, climbing on a cliff. Little did i know the cliff was covered in poision ivy. The rash started to show on my arm. Then it spread to my chest and side, Along with my legs. I'd say that 15% of me is covored in poision ivy right now. What is a good medicine that can help cure the itch? And should i go see a doctor?

Also they'll give you a cream, and some antihistimines.
In the mean while take the antihistimine that you are most comfie with, and get some cortisone cream... And see a doc asap.

See a doctor ASAP. He'll give you some antibiotic cream. Your rash is spreading ,and you definately need cream!

1% hydrocortosone cream ....30 gm tube is about $2 at Wal-mart, apply that to the affected areas after washing with plain Ivory soap, leave a thin layer of the cream on the affected areas. If the itching is too bad .....Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 25 mg capsules ...about $3 at Wal-Mart ....take 1 about every 6 hours. (you may also use Aveno bath treatment when you take a bath)

The fact is you'll have the itchy rash for a month or two regardless what you do. Go to the doctor and get a shot. The shot does nothing to make the rash go away, it just relieves the pain. There are some new very effective topical ointments available over the counter to help dry up the rash. Also, a scalding hot shower will feel great.

I was fishing a few weeks ago, and walked through some poison ivy by accident. After a few hours I was itching like crazy. Mom gave me this soap that had tea tree oil in it. I took a shower using the soap, and the itching went away. But if I accidently scratch where I was itchy, it became itchy again. After about 3-4 days of showering with the tea tree oil soap, the poison ivy went away. Tea tree oil comes in fifferent forms, so go to a drug store, and buy some, good luck.
