how doe's one cope in a hotter climate after being in a cooler one for many years?

Question:
I seem to strugle at times with the heat the temp. is round about 30-38c with humidity up to 80-95%

Answers:
You will become accustomed, however heat is relative. Vacation in a hotter, more humid climate for two weeks, and it may seem like your current home is cooler, when you get back.

Also, the more you weight, the more you suffer in the heat. If you are carrying some extra poundage, then losing it (very hard to do in the heat), may also help.

Cool cloths behind the neck - especially at night (my husband uses ice packs - like for sprains and strains), cool clothing, and keep hydrated, so your body has enough water to perspire with.

Best wishes.

a swimming pool would probably be the best answer.

Yeah, I've been living in Florida for 8 years now, after moving here from Connecticut. I still have not gotten used to it. I'm an 'outdoors' kind of guy, so this really sucks. All I know is that you have to slow down a bit.and sincerely, drink LOTS of fluids because it will evaporate out of your body much quicker in the hotter climates. Drink lots of fluids(water, actual fruit juice, not concentrated etc.)
