Heavy Lift?

Question:
What the hell happens to your stomach if you lift something too heavy without a strap?
do the symptoms show right away?

Answers:
with a heavy lift espesially something like deadlifts or squats u should always use a wieght belt. this keeps your insides together and keeps some of the stress off of them.
but the symptoms show early on

Other Answers:
You should be very careful.
You need special lifting straps! Depends how bad it is ... for symptomes to show, but if you feel any change you should see a doctor to be sure. If you feel pain or so .. the worst thing is to lift weight at the moment ... for sure before making sure you're a 100% Ok.
You can damage yourself for good. Try taking things easy and use lifting straps. So you shouldn't get any permanent damage. You have to be very careful!
You could get a hernia or worse, slip a disc in your back.

Try not to lift heavy weights period.

A strap or belt will not help.
A number of things can happen, all of which are very undesirable. You could get a hernia that can actually appear in many places. This will cause you much pain and appear as a soft fleshy bump.It won't just cure itself. You'll need medical attention.I'm a power lifter and have never had this happen but I've been standing right there when it happens to others. It's quite nasty. There are a few other things that can happen but if you suspect you're injured you should see a doctor.
hernia

its a tear in the abdominal wall in which the intestines can actually go thru. i heard it hurts like hell. and u gotta have surgery.
Lift with your legs not your back and it will take a toll on your body. Symptoms don't always show up right away. If you are worried see a Dr.
