I have a constant cough and my nose is always blocked.?

Question:
Any ideas??

Answers:
If it's a continuing problem, I'd suggest going to a doctor to see if it's something serious, or possibly allergies, etc.

For home remedy on the cough, I like herbal tea (or warm water) with honey & lemon. It's soothing to the throat, and the lemon juice cuts through any phlegm caused by a cold.

For the nose being blocked, if you ever are able to breathe through your nostrils for a short period of time, try the "fish" yoga pose. Lay on your back on the floor, put your arms underneath your body, palms down. Then lift up your chest, supporting your upper body with your forearms. Your head is leaned back so the top of your head is gently resting on the floor. (See link to picture below for an example.) This really opens up your chest, and has lasting effects on reducing breathing blockage.

could be nasal polyps caused by allergies

Sounds like you might have an allergy..is it seasonal?..or have you noticed it with certain foods, colognes, pets, working in yard with certain weeds or bushes?..There are OTC medications for allergies (seasonal) that you might try.I can't recommend which because that is prescribing and only a physician who knows your medical history or allergies should do this.but if you go to your local pharmacy and ask a pharmacist they can help you..it may not be as simple as taking OTC meds and if it continues I always recommend seeing your family doctor for a full evaluation. Dont drink a cold (ICE) water and cool drinks., Becoz its my personal experience My mother gave my Kalkandu and Karakai in telegu i told please ask any body the translation. Becoz tonsillitis may be occured to you
