I think that most people slouch in their chairs which cause excess pressure on their spinal and lower back areas. And continuous effects and lead to a curved back and lower back pains. I have done some research. Ill post the link later.
So, go to a doctor, that is what most people would do.
Osteoporosis is hereditary. If you have a immediate family member who has it, you have a greater chance of getting it even in your 30's. If you have a sharp pain in your hip that runs down your leg, you may have a slipped disc or pinched nerve causeing sciatica pain, which is a large nerve that runs from the low back, through the buttocks, down the legs. Please see your doctor. Back pain is not something to ignore.
Back pain can often be attributed to complex origins and symptoms. It can originate from identified muscle trauma, or an unknown non-traumatic event. Low back pain can also begin in other regions of the body and eventually attack the muscles or other structures in the lower back.
Sometimes back pain can even begin in the nerves or nervous system. Other origins for low back pain are post-neural difficulties, congenital disorders, trauma, infections, degenerative disorders, inflammatory diseases, circulatory disorders etc.
It is often difficult for physicians to pinpoint the exact cause of a patient's back pain, because of the complex composition of the human spine. Bone, discs, muscles, ligaments, tendons and various other tissues are arranged like a three-dimensional puzzle to make up the spine.
What you need is an accurate diagnosis for your pain, so see your doctor.
Next, you should review treatment options. Most back pain can be managed conservatively, although some specific disorders require surgery. In most cases of back pain, patients will begin to notice relief within two weeks of starting treatment. Treatment options range from basic rest, ice or heat and gradually resuming activity to medication, exercise, physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, acupuncture and surgery.

Mean while, check if your bed is firm enough to support you when you sleep. You sitting posture and the type of activity you do in a day can cause you back problem.
Good luck.
These are the things you need to checklist.
1. What kind of mattress are you sleeping on?(Many shops are now selling mattresses especially for people with back pain. You need to try them or invest in the futon ones)
2. Do you carry heavy things?(this could be one of the causes, you need to stop this for about a month)
3.What kind of a diet are you on? Is it high in carbs? a lot of junk?
4.Change your office chairs both at home and work if they don't offer the support you need for your back.
go and see a chiropractor, thats what they specialise in.
A doctor will probably prescribe you pills.how that helps your spinal misalignment, I will never know.
Goodluck
Ask your practitioner to consider testing for testicular cancer as the ache associated with that will be felt around L2. (for those who don't see the link, its to do with where the innervation for the testes originate on the spine)
ever thought it may be old age?
At 48 you cannot be classified as old aged. You are best suited ,experienced and enjoy.Back pain is a common problem. It may be due to sitting constantly. Most probably you may not be sitting straight.Change the chair and see that you always sit straight.the spinal cord should be straight. While sleeping check your mattress and see that you sleep straight.Walk daily half hour(minimum). There are massage belts available to reduce back pain and try them. There are certain herbal oils on massage of which back pain is reduced. If you are in India or any Indian Shop is there, purchase DHANWANTHARAM ayurvedic oil and massage back twice daily.
If still persist see a doctor there are certain surgical methods to correct the disorder. But donot take pain killers, they become ineffective when you stop it.
Last year, I was introduced to an AMAZING all natural wellness system by a very close friend of mine. I am 43 years old, and I have been taking blood pressure meds for 6 years. Since I have been using the product, I am becoming healthier every day! I no longer need to take blood pressure medication, and my 18 year stretch of chronic low back and hip pain is completely gone thanks to this amazing product.
