Will Bad breath will keep you from having friends or girlfriend?

Question: I'm a 26 year old guy with bad breath. My father has it so bad too, so i guess it's hereditary, . i try to cover it with mouth washes, mouth sprays, etc. But it's not like it goes away. As i find new friends and think about having a girlfriend someday i start to worry. Like in some shows in tv, girls mention that the first kiss was bad because he had bad breath.... aa! so does it mean i can never have any success in relationships because i have bad breath that is really hard to control?

Answers:
Do you try to prevent it? A lot of people dont realize the little things they do will ruin their breath

Brush your teath and tongue and gums and walls of you mouth
Use a tongue scrapper
mouth wash. I have two kinds... believe it or not, they dont all fight the same stuff.
dont chew gum or eat candy or drink soda.
change your diet.... some stuff will fester in your mouth and others will smell up from your stomach

See a dentist and find the cause. Mouthwash like Corsodyl can really help. Make sure you are religious with your dental hygiene. The dentist should really be able to find the root of the problem and cure it all together. The smell will only be coming from bacteria of some sort so there will be a cure! If someone really likes you it won't stop them all together but it won't be as nice for them as if your breath is fresh.
