Your calf pain is caused by a shortage of potassium. Eat more bananas and baked potatoes.

Go Banana's!
drink more water
Cramps or Charlie Horses are caused by not enough water during exercises, or calcium magnesium in your diet. Also a good stretching routine is good to start with before your exercises. If you are young growing can cause C.H. also and pain.

Best bet is to be sure you drink lots of water and liquid, but avoid sugary sodas. Take multivitamin and supplement the Calcium magnesium in your diet.
bannas. they have lots of pottasium. it evens out ur blood. try it out. it should make you feel better
ooh my god i get those too they say put heat on them get a heating pad i usually try to lay still until it goes away
Mr Chili is right, lack of potassium, bananas cantelope, strawberries and lots of water to drink. avoid the caffeine and sodas.
Great question... I would love to know the answer also. I have not had a charlie horse in my calves in a while, but now it's like in the bottom of my feet. Wakes me up out of a dead sleep. Do not know how to make them go away when that happens. I've rubbed, walked, that does not seem to work right away.
I take Shaklee's OsteoMatrix (calcium/magnesium) which is a natural muscle relaxant and it has worked really well for me. I now very rarely have this problem any more and when I do I realize I've been a little neglectful in taking my OsteoMatrix.

Hope this helps.
