thing is foreskin is designed to cover and protect the head of your penis thus keeping it retracted for long periods of time isn't the best move. If hygiene is your concern, shower at least once each day and always retract the foreskin, wash and rinse thoroughly and you will be fine.
As for those who suggest cutting it off, they may well be circumncised and/or hav eonly been exposed ot circumcised penises thus naver had th epleasure of learning alll the good things about foreskin. So, I would not even give a thought to being circumcised unless there are serious medical problems.
