i live with a single father right now - i haven't seen my mother in over a year.
sounds like you have a maturity issue, dunno if it's better for men to stay single - maybe some but not others! you don't have to get married but it's nice to share your life with someone than to be jumping all over the place. also when i'm at the club w/ my female friends and see that 'old' guy in the club chillin' the corner trying to look 20 years younger and blend in, I feel soooo sorry for him. all of his friends are probably home with their family and he's still out trying to be a 'playa.' LOL. let's hope you don't end up like that.
To say that you are worried about your parental rights in a divorce, before the divorce (or the marriage) ever happens, is to say that you believe divorce WILL happen.
I am a firm believer that marriage is a committment, not to be taken for granted (or easily divorced for that matter). Marriage is work, and if you are willing to put forth the effort, then parental rights have no issue in your relationship.
If you look at it in this light, perhaps it doesn't really matter what the laws say.
I agree, men are getting the sh*t end of the stick these days.
If you must stay single, for goodness sake, have vasectomies or use condoms. And don't use oil based lubes with condoms, and don't tear open the package with teeth or anything sharp. And remember, abstinence is the only surefire way to guarantee you won't get anyone pregnant, and you won't catch any sexually transmitted diseases.
