Do what your doing only 3 time s a week. You've got to give your body time to recover. Thats the only way you'll get the abs you want.
sounds like too much too me but it is not my body, only you know what you can endure and what you cannot. Is this the only exercise you are performing. If you are trying to firm up your core some crunches should be a small part of an overall regimen to firm and tighten that area.
I take a kickboxing class and we do over 300 crunches each session. We do them repetatively, however, sometimes i cant do them that fast and i take a break. If you feel you need the break then definitely take it. Listen to your body, if its painful definitely stop. If its a burning then thats a good thing. Learn to differenciate between the burn and pain.
If you are comfortable resting in between thats fine, if not you can do it one right after the other. Just remember to keep good form. Dont rest your chin on your chest and keep your head straight and dont lift with your neck/back.
u mean to say u do it non stop? fr the time u wake to the time u sleep? if tts the case, u better rest.. body rest so it can repair n refill all the needs..
3 sets of 50 is close to extreme, but im sure your body can handle it! but this is my experienced advice! to see and get optimum results, always rest at least 48 hours between your workout sessions...this time gives the muscles time to heal...Everytime you work your muscles, the fibers tear, and heal...thus giving the bulge look. but if you work the muscles during the healing period, it will cause pain down the line, and most likely cause you to tear the muscle...I know this from experience! i tore a muscle in my abdomen from power crunches with weights and such...i didnt wait for the muscles to heal...so again, wait 48 hours between your work out sessions...i.e do the 3 sets of 50, then wait 48 hours and do another 3 sets! simple and painless! in my opinion anyways!
good luck!
