Does protein powder like muscle tech have side effects?
Question:
Answers:
yes, to much protein can and will damage you liver, not you kidneys, i would know i looked like a monster after a lot of protein, however my liver is so stuffed up.be careful.
Watch the Protein
To quickly determine your daily protein in grams, divide your weight in pounds by 2. Too much daily protein may cause hepatic encephalopathy (mental confusion). This occurs when the amount of dietary protein is greater than the liver's ability to use the protein. This causes a build up of toxins that can interfere with brain function. Protein is restricted in patients with clinical evidence of encephalopathy. However, controversy exists regarding the type of protein a diet should contain. Vegetable and dairy protein may be tolerated better than meat protein. Medications, such as lactulose and neomycin, may be used to help control hepatitis-related encephalopathy. Due to the body's need for proteins, protein restriction should only be undertaken with a doctor's advice.
no i doubt it..its just a health drink ..contains all those vitamins minerals your body needs..it may help you to feel better with more energy and keep you regular as well.always drink sufficient water with all vitamins
even too much of a good thing is bad for you. your body can only process so much protein and then the rest has to be eliminated so just follow the directions on the label and you should be fine but if you overload your body your ph will go down and you might get ketoacidosis which is bad for the kidneys.
Nope. There is no evidence at all of that sort of damage. The kidney damage that is talked about is caused by overdosing with creatine monohydrate in its earlier forms which, I understand were more like eating a bucket of sand, than having a diet supplement.
