Is it normal to have to pop your neck every time you wake up?

If your bones have proper motion, they should not crack on there own. If you are not sleeping on your stomach, check your pillow. If you are a stomach sleeper, there's your problem. If it persists, see a good chiropractor. They will not only correct the problem, they will prevent the inevitable problems that will result from instability in your neck. They will also give you exercises to do to help out. Also, cracking your own neck will eventually cause arthritis in the neck. I've seen it in someone as young as 26.
No it could be potentially dangerous you could get spinal damage or Something so go get it checked by a professional
because its better to be safe than sorry.
I do that!
If it's not normal, we're both screwed.
Try a different pillow. They have ones for side-sleepers, back-sleepers, they have thinner ones and thicker ones. It might just be that you have the wrong pillow. You shouldn't have to crack your neck. That can't be healthy.
**** i pop my neck 2 or 3 times a day it bothers me i need a pillow or just a good massage
It is normal. From a chiropractic stand point, it is worse if it does not crack. When it pops it means that the vertebrae are loose and have motion, usually they are going back to where they belong. If it does not pop, your muscles are probably tense and usually experience discomfort. Ask anyone that does it and they will tell you it feels better after than it did before. And don't worry you cannot hurt yourself doing it, except for extreme cases. Here's to snap, crackle, pop.
I do that every morning. As a matter of fact I do it most of the day. Also stretching and cracking my back.It gives honest quick relief. My Chiropractor told me it was only ligaments stretching when I crack myself. Its normal if your in pain or inflammation.
