Which is the most effective excercise for abs? I have been doing a lot, but not effective. Any suggestions?

Check out exercise balls. You'll feel totally silly doing this at first but you'll rip your abs like nothing else. But you have to do this right and do it consistently.

stick to the common which is curl ups but do it REGULARLY like 15 minutes a day and with your balanced diet. it is more on discipline
playing the drums. i mean hardcore playing.
I do two things for abbs. get a fit ball and do your sit ups on them. when you do them stretch your hands out behind your head. when you sit up only do it half way then back down slowly.
the other thing is called a bridge. put your elbows on the fit ball and your legs stretched out and on your toes.
