If you mean dangerous because you may be caught in the act ?? then make sure you only do it in a secure place when you are not likely to be disturbed
If you are a teen , then most if not all teens will masturbate regularly as a way of learning about their body and to relieve stress
If you are an older guy then the answer is to find a partner with whom you can have regular sex , and if you still need to masturbate on a regular basis then perhaps you should be concerned .

Why would you want to stop!? After all, masturbation is "sex with someone you love" and is often more satisfying than the "real thing". I say have fun going blind :-P
