Can a lump on my testicle wait for my doctor to get back from vacation?

Question:

About a week ago I asked about a painful testicle. Following some advice given, I went to Youtube and learned how to do a self exam. Well, I found what no man wants to find, a lump on my left testicle. My problem is that my doctor is on vacation in Ireland until August 20th. Is this the kind of thing that can wait, or is it something that progresses really fast? Thanks for your concern and I shall be awaiting your wisdom. Oh, I forgot to mention, the pain seems to originate from the lump at the slightest touch.

I'd say that sounds more like you're feeling your epididymis, a bump towards the rear of each testicle, and might even be suffering from epididymitis (an infection/inflammation of said portion of your anatomy). But just to be safe, I would recommend seeing another doctor. If it is testicular cancer, it can advance pretty rapidly.

No..don't risk your health on a doctors vacation..
Find another doctor..it may be serious or it may be an infection..either way..don't waste a week worrying when you don't have to!

dude from wat i know thats a cancerous bump, its better for you to check it up right away. Teachers in health told me to do that when i feel a bump. Cancer is better treated early than later and 2 weeks is alot!

sorry! you may have testicular cancer! you should NOT wait for your doctor! just go to a different doctor for a cancer screening. it may not be something as bad as cancer, maybee just a std

If the pain is increasing, there is an emergency.

Go see the doc first, that way your vacation will be stress-free, the doctor may tell you the lump is nothing to worry about.

I am sure your Dr. has another Dr. that is seeing his patients in case of emergency while he is on vacation so I would get in touch with him/her and get it checked out.
