What's the story with vasectomies causing brain problems later in life.?
Question:
Answers:
The story is, vasectomies don't cause brain problems.
A lot of people are so completely uneducated that they believe that getting a vasectomy means that your testicles are cut off. Some young lady, whom claimed to be a med student, attested that they do in fact remove the testicles. She posted her claim here on YouQA.com . Well, you know that removal of the testicles is not any part of getting a vasectomy. Why would anyone make such a claim in the first place? The do it for the same reason that they say that a vasectomy will affect your brain.
They do this because they are fundamentalists. They think they have better moral values than the rest of us do. They feel that they must push their own brand of morals on us.
I had a vasectomy back in 1989. I was living in the middle of the “bible belt” in Dallas Tx. Abortion clinics, and clinics that performed services such as vasectomies were frequent targets for fundamentalists.
Some fundamentalists handed out pamphlets against getting vasectomies. One pamphlet said that vasectomies lead to arthritis, blood clots, prostate cancer, ED, hair loss, pre-mature aging, etc.
I was 21, when I got my vasectomy. I am now 41. I have no children, and therefore look 10 years younger than most guys my age. I do have arthritis but honestly that is hereditary. But, none of the other fundamentalists claims happened to me.
Today it is claimed that vasectomies cause early dementia. There is no evidence of this. No doubt any research funding came from the Catholic Church, or some other fundamentalists group.
I am a member of a “Childfree” group. That is a group of couples chosen never have children. Almost every man in the group has had a vasectomy. Most of the members are in their 40’s and 50’s. Not a one has ever made mention of suffering from any side effect. In fact, most of the members look very much younger than they are.
Is there any evidence to this? No? Therefore it is lies.
