I had the same problem before. Try drinking a lot of water and eat loads of fruit specifically banana and papaya (every meal). These two fruits are the BEST known laxative fruits. If within two or three days of eating loads of fruit and you still struggle in the bathroom, you have to go to a doctor for a check up.
The following day after eating loads of fruit, I went to the bathroom and it seems everything came out of me! It was a relief. Since then I have been eating at least a banana or papaya every day.
Also, add a significant amount of vegetables to your diet and minimize meat intake. Meat can sometimes cause constipation. You should eat salads more often.
