How should i wipe my face when exercising so i dont get acne problems??
Question:
How should i be taking the sweat off my face when i'm running? Should I pad it dry, wipe it, or not even take the sweat off?
Answers:
It is possible that your sweat is blocking your skin pores and aggravating your acne. Just wipe off your sweat with a clean towel or cloth. However you should take a bath or at least wash your face with an anti-bacterial FACIAL WASH after running. If possible wash your face before you sleep. No ordinary soaps please as it is harsh to the face. Facial wash are designed specifically for the sensitive skin of the face. In my case it took me several facial wash products before I found one just right for my face. As you know each person has a different body chemistry. Some facial wash works, some don't. There are men's facial wash available. I tried Neutrogena Acne soap before but it did not work well for me. Just buy a small bottle or bar and try it for at least a week. By then you would know if it works or not.
Just wipe it off and then after you shower splash or sponge on some Witch Hazel. You can get it at any drugstore.
don't deal with it while you're running. as long as you're sweating, your pores are open and the water is keeping them clean. the catch is if you let them dry that way. what you need to do is *immediately* after you're finished running, wash your face gently under warm water with a delicate soap or face cleanser, do a cold rinse right after to close the pores, and then gently pat your face dry with a towel. this will keep your skin clear and refreshed.
Wash with soap and water. If your acne is oily, let soap sit so it dries the acne out.
After rinsing, WIPE your face, best way to eliminate soap residue which clogs pores.
If you pad, it may not completley dry your face aswell.
Sweating does not cause acne. You should just worry about running. Worry about your face after the race.
Wash several times a day with mild soap. Use cleanser often as needed that your dermatologist prescribes (or regular doc if you want). Watch what you eat.
It's pretty much a problem that you will have depending on your genetics more than your cleanliness. You'll get over it.
Wear a hat or a sweatband. =)
Take a quick shower immediately when you get home and use an anti-bacterial soap (Cetaphil Anti-Bacterial, for example).

A little more information: Cetaphil Antibacterial is a "non-soap" cleansing bar. It's "non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores." =)

all about soap my man
Drink more water, to begin with.
Also, start taking a multivitamin/mineral supplement. One such as Spirulina is excellent.
Make sure you are keeping your pillowcases, washcloth, towel & shirts clean. Oily buildup can lead to clogged pores.
As long as you shower when you're done running, the acne should not flare up.
Besides this, it doesn't really matter how you wipe the sweat off.
You can also begin using Neutrogena Acne products. Clearasil Face Lotion also works well, but it also tends to bleach colored fabric, so unless you wear white shirts & have white pillowcases...stick with the Neutrogena.
I would go with the answer about washing your face immediately afterwards. Also, wash before you run like normal to make sure that the pores will be able to let the sweat clean them out. And then wash after your normal workout. Works for me. And I had BAD*** acne before I learned this from my dr.
