What causes ones hands to shake?

Question:
My hands constantly shake, expecially when im holding something very small, like trying to put a key in a door. Why is this?

Answers:
if your hands shake when you are doing some sort of an action it is called intention tremor and it is due to a problem with your cerebellum.
If your hands shake when they are just hanging by your sides then its a problem with a lack of dopamine.
Either way, you need to see a doctor
Does alcohol relieve or hinder the shaking?
it's usually low blood sugar
There are many reasons- a common cause it called benign or essential tremor and is often inherited. It does not indicate a serious neuro problem- just a nuisance. You should see a nuerologist as it could be comething more serious.
Could be nerves or too much caffeine.
It could be a variety of things.
Its kinda hard to keep your hand steady anyways, but usually its because you've taken in too much of a stimulant (i.e. nicotine, caffeine, sugar) and thats usually the most common reason.
However if its excessively shaking, and you haven't taken in any type of stimulants, or excess of stimulants, i think you should go in and get it checked with a doctor.
