How does he gain weight whilst exercising?
Question:
Answers:
A high protein and carb diet would help as would those weightgain shakes that bodybuilders use that are high in amino-acids and carbs.Stay away from steroids even though they increase muscle and by default weight (muscle weighs more than fat by the way)
You need to ask a fitness instructor or dietician.
It would involve a balanced diet with a higher protein intake, but you need to consult someone who knows what they are talking about.
Try looking at the Bill Philips Body For Life programme (google it). My ex husband did this and it was very good. Sounds a bit American cheesey body-builder stuff, but it does work!
And there's a book and a DVD to go with it, it shows you how to exercise to get the max, and explains what you should eat (one portion each of carbs, protein and veg - six times a day - if I remember correctly).
I know this isn't probably going to help too much but he is going to lose all of his weight so that he can gain some muscle, get him to try and eat anything that has protein in it and he has to lift a lot of weights, get him to go to a book store and buy a couple of those fitness magazines, that should help, good luck
To actually bulk up you need to consume a larger amount of protein. Try lean meat, fish, eggs and eat a small amount several times a day.
ive got exactly the same problem, i would stay off dairy especially cheese and maybe swich to soya milk and use sunflower spread instaed of butter as well as cutting out sugar, after all of the dairy is gotten rid of this really lost weight off me, i also cut out drinking beer at the weekend, a much better drink is something like gin and tonic. this all helped me to loose weight. ive never been a sports fan, so i used to do a 2 mile run every other day this calculates only around 200 calories a work out so a lot of work needs to be done to finding a better diet. it should sensibly take 2 weeks to a month to see the weight loss,
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.
