Does lifting weights?

Does lifting weights stunt or stop or slow down your growth? I am 14 and 5' 11 and i lift weights 3 times a week. Will this have any effect on my height?

It can if you haven't completed puberty.

yes if you lift weights you will stunt your groth unless if you are lifting hand held weights you know the small ones
theres been a debate about the growth problem..some say yes some say no.
logically when lifting weights u would gain muscle mass which means that u get heavier n this in turn can cause the slow down in growth...
there is also the problem of ur body using up all the energy for muscle building instead of for growth stopping ur growth
looking that ur 14 and 5'11, how much higher do u want to grow
its hard to say some of my frens lift weights at that age and some of them are short but some of them grew up to b taller.its up to u i guess which u want to beleive if it does stop growth
ya when u will become of 18 it will good for u. u can also lifts the wieghts but try only lower wieghts and dont be exess work. if u lift weights very hard now adays your body will stop your growth and u will gain only muscles and not proportion of body.
Im only 13 and im 5'6 I lift weights every day?.We also lift weights at school.it shouldnt harm you.
