Good question. I think it is a very personal feeling...what and who we are comfortable with and why we choose one or the other is also very personal. I am a female and I would have to say I would prefer a male dr., although I have been seen by female drs....Do we associate these feelings with our parent figures.a female dr./our mothers...a male dr./our fathers. I really don't have a specific answer for this, but I don't think it is weird for you to feel more comfortable with a female dr. even though you are a male.
Im a female and I'd prefer a female. My grandma always says she'd prefer a male. It differs for everyone.

I'm a female and I'd rather have a female doctor cause she has the same body parts as me but I know alot of my guy friends would rather have a female.
just choose whatever u feel more comfortable with . it doesnt really matter beacuse they see all that stuff A LOT anyway but its your choice as to what gender of dr. u choose
Depends on what your comfortable with. I have been very lucky and my doctor is very nice and jokes and makes you laugh to make you feel comfortable and always talks to you when you are in very embarrassing situations. So it just depends on what your comfortable with. I'm more comfortable with a male doctor than a female one.

I''m completely comfortable with either, and I joke with either, whether they have a sense of humor or not (I have enough for 2). However, I've recently switched to female, as my daughter's coming of age and it'll be easier for her to 'share' with a female.
Everyone is uncomfortable about being naked infront of someone you don't know. But there is always another person in the room when you take your clothes off so that the doc doesn't get all crazy if u know what I mean! But for me, I don't like taking my clothes off unfront of people at all unless i am crazy if u know what I mean! But most males prefer a female doctor for naked inspections! I don't know why, but alot of guys would rather have me in the room. But females on the other hand also prefer a female! I guess it's just more comferting.
Does not matter to me, I see it as they are a Doc and doing the job that I not able to do. I'm just careful to the point they don't do something they should not. Say I was in with a male Doc and he started going down on me NO NO NO NO. Wold not want a female to be doing that in the Doc office, maybe later but not there. I know that is way over and above(under) but just showing a point. I'm sure I could have showed it another way but at least it gets ur attention.

I prefer a guy for a doctor. If I took off my clothes in front of a woman doctor I might get turned on, which would be really embarrassing. At least in front of a guy doctor it stays professional. Even if I have a small "issue" down there, my guy doctor is used to it and I don't feel embarrassed.
I guess it’s all a personal preference.
Most males prefer males to examine them, maybe from fear of being compared. I guess if a guy has a big gay phobia he might be more comfortable with a female. But most guys strip in front of other guys, either at the gym, swimming pool or other venues, so it is more normal to strip in front of a guy.
