If you are dedicated to aerobic and light weight lifting or some type of anaerobic exercise and drinking lots of water and watching your caloric intake, you should see good results in 8 to 12 weeks.
Doing light weights with long repetition will provide more endurance and a "cut" look (which I think is a more attractive look). Using heavier weights with shorter but more intense reps will increase muscle mass.
