About smiling.?
Question:
Answers:
It's a clever trick.
It is a defence mechanism to hide the fact that you are nervous.. not sure why you are.. but whenever I get in a situation where I am self conscious I start smiling for no reason. This particularly happens when the person I am talking to is boring the hell out of me and I would rather be somewhere else.. I am nervous because I have no idea what they are talking about because I havent been listening and I know sometime in the very close future they are going to stop talking and look to me for an appropriate reply.. which I know I will be unable to utter for obvious reasons. It gets really bad.. when I can feel my face and I think.. "my lips hurt" cause that means I have been smiling for a long time. (you know that feeling don't you?)
I try to stop myself from doing it. I have dimples.. and when you are in the witness box smiling inappropriately, with your big dimples showing... it gives the appearance that you lack credibility.
But truth is.. smile and you get more dates.. so smiling socially is great, as long as you are not smiling at something inappropriate. People respond to smiling... you have learnt that subconsciously and that is why you do it automatically.
Um you might be a happy person??
Because you are a happy, well-adjusted person. I wish more people would be smiley when talking to others! Can you imagine what an awesome world this would be if everyone smiled at everyone else instead of scowling or using obscene gestures! Keep on smilin'!
Because you're nervous I do that alot too, I worry about saying something stupid or rude or having that ' I really don't want to be here right now' look on my face so I smile alot, it gives off a more friendly disposition.
Theres even a song or something that goes 'When you smile the whole world smiles with you'
You're imagining them naked.
Maybe you are just a social person so you get happy when you talk to people! It's definately not a bad thing. After all, it's good to smile...right?
